It was interesting. But I think I figured out why the dialogue was so bad at certain times. First, it’s set in the south and yet they call each other “Love” and “Darling.” And, the little girl said she was “cross” at the moon. Southerners don’t say those things. So the problem, for an American audience anyway, is that it was written by Australians, with Australian-isms. If the script had been acted out with Australian actors, it would have had a better cadence.
I enjoyed the show, just think the dialogue needed work. The cringe of the first few episodes made more sense once I figured out what was happening.
