Saw this film last night in Charlotte- really enjoyed it! Amazing seeing Trey in his everyday life & the true creative process at work. I’ve seen Trey in Phish & TAB having a ton of fun on stage, but it was truly inspiring to see how much fun he (& they) have creating the music & shows. His music has always made me feel things & feel connected to it, & it was awesome seeing him feeling the same way. It was obvious Trey did not want the film to focus around his past trouble with substances- but there were still moments where he showed how humble he was about those times & a true gratefulness that he still had his family & friends supporting him. This really gave an inside look to Treys everyday life & the people he surrounds himself with & how music & composing is still- after all these years- what starts & ends each of his days.
I would definitely recommend this film for any Phish/TAB/Trey fan- whether you saw them at the start of it all or 2019 was your first show/tour.
Big thanks to Trey & his loved ones for putting their lives on film for us all to see what an amazing musician, composer, father & man he is today.
