OMG!! This series enraged me so much! It brought out so many emotions, I can't find the words to express my disgust and my sadness at a system that failed its people so badly. Yet instead at looking at how and why such a catastrophy happened and how these people were failed so badly. The people of New Orleans were abandoned in the worst possible way, so instead of punishing those in power they turned the focus on people who were placed in impossible circumstances and forced to make impossible desicions. What better way than to take he focus on those who should be punished.
Even worse, how many turned on their own. It amazes me that the preferance was to let people rot and die, and suffer, for maybe days.
I know what id prefer..
To me the doctors and nurses were heroes.
How dare they who watched from the safety of their fancy offices stand in judgement of those who suffered so much. Where were the politicians! Where was their useless president! Where were the armed forces from one of the most 'powerful' countries in the world! Where was the help that should have instantly been there from a country that is so quick to guns and war, yet so slow to help its own. Shame on them!
Congratulations! on a brilliantly series! Worth watching, just be prepared to get mad and/or cry.
