There was absolutely nothing remotely interesting about this book. Although I do agree with some of the topics the author made through the emails between Alice and Eileen, everything else was irrelevant. However, they came across as super pretentious and “above” the society as if they weren’t part of it and were also part of the problem. I feel like there was little to no character development up until the last two chapters of the book, which honestly felt like such a waste of time. We read through all those odd interactions between the characters.(I won’t even mention the sex scenes, which were completely not pertinent to the story), for them to act the same and then at the very last chapter showing abrupt change. I have never disliked a character so much as I have Eileen. I didn’t have any expectations for this book and still I was disappointed.
