This show is nog necessarily a bad watch, it’s just not a very good show. The runways are super exaggerated, with very over the top lightning shows that actually make it very hard to see the work the designers put in. I feel the show emphasizes more on the spectacular showy parts, like Netflix showing off they had the money to make this show very pompous. The scripted scenes from the presenters made me feel like their targeted audience are little kids, not (young) adults. Also the fact that they compete in teams for the first couple of episodes sort of confused me, I did not feel like they really explained why the show was put together like that. Not a high standard tv show, but still entertaining.

I don’t know what Disney tried to do with this, it doesn’t feel like a Disney movie at all. Trying to make this some hotshot film with special effects and slow motion shots, it just makes it worse. All the humor, the songs and important characters were left out. It’s not even the slightest alike with the original, which I love very dearly. I wasn’t moved once, I really had to endure the 100 min film. Overall a bigger disappointment than the year 2020 has been.
