My wife and I were excited to watch this movie based on the trailer. A busy schedule didn’t allow us to watch it at a theater so we rented it this past weekend. We paid $5.99 to rent it. As my wife put it, “It wasn’t even a $6.00 movie.”
It was disappointing from beginning to end. The trailer showed EVERY comical moment. There weren’t many. The movie started off creating some interest but that quickly faded. The plot line simply became more and more dumb and senseless as the movie went on. The finale was the epitome of stupidity.
The movie had the opportunity to be a decent movie but there were so many missed opportunities. It’s hard to understand how someone
associated with the movie — the actors, writers, film crew, an intern — didn’t raise their hand and tell someone just how ridiculous the story line was.
I am convinced that critics are receiving benefits from the movie studios. That is the only explanation for the strong reviews this movie received. Don’t waste $6.00.
