Rose Smits

I liked the book so much, I ordered copies for my five surviving sisters. Each one of them enjoyed it immensely. Several want to read it again and use a marker this next time. Several sisters mentioned how they wished our older sister were alive to read it. I describe the book as, "My story, your story." The history and story are interesting, touching and real from the beginning to the end, and it is so well written and researched. As I read it, I could visualize family life in 1827-1845 being just as Kathi Gosz describes it. It is a treasure!
