The characters 1. Don't suspect the boy of being half kaiju half human even though he doesn't get hurt once, breaks out of a TEST TUBE, and kills animals easily. 2. Don't think to take a vehicle and weapons or destroy a walkie-talkie given by a shady character. Why did the writers make them that dumb, they didn't even think to hunker down and go on searches for their parents or even save other people what horrible character writing.
