First the positives: Kudos for believing they could make a series out of this outstanding book trilogy. I had my doubts, but when I heard the GOT people were involved, and the enthusiastic after viewing the excellent trailers, expectations were high. I wish I could say otherwise, but though I’m grateful for the work of people who obviously went to a great deal of effort: This is no, Game of Thrones. Too many changes from the book series, even on s not even necessary. Very odd casting decisions. The heroes look too good, act like dopes, I feel like I’m watching Breakfast Club or Friends. Why cast Jonathan Pryce, as virtually the same character as he played in GOT? He’s great, don’t get me wrong, but why the exact same actor, playing the same role? Why change the name of the aliens? It could have been so much better. Hopefully the series will survive to make a Season 2. If so, get back to the story. Sorry….I really wanted to give a better review.
