Dead Boy Detectives has become my favorite show of 2024, and easily one of my favorite shows of all time as well. Never has a show and its characters captivated me in such a short amount of time. The writing is absolutely superb - I find myself quoting this show DAILY, both the humerous lines and the more serious sentiments that come later. I haven't stopped talking about it and recommending it to people since it came out. As a fan of its parent show, The Sandman, I have to say that the charm and wit in Dead Boy Detectives is unmatched and I actually prefer Dead Boy Detectives! I've rewatched it numerous times and it never fails to provide me with a sense of comfort - it is a show that will make all the oddballs feel very seen! There's something so intentional about every facet of this show, and you can feel how much every person on screen cares about the role they're playing. It is a MUST check out for campy, supernatural lovers! 10/10 no notes! I could do many more seasons of this story, needless to say! Hopefully Netflix will come to realize what a gem, a breath of fresh air Dead Boy Detectives is!
