A mess. Simple as that. Thanks to some financial disagreements the original film never saw completion. After a while people with even lesser talent got a hold of it and morphed the film into what we have today. The plot is trite, the characters are unlikeable and stupid. The monsters and their effects are okay. Overall the film is like trying to open a locked door by smashing it with a chair. No kidding, one genius in this thing actually does that. Yeah, that dumb.

Nothing beats the original run from 1963 to 1989. Goofy special effects and costumes partnered with outrageous storylines lends to it's place amongst other popular franchises. Not so as of late. BBC has always had a love/hate relationship with this show. Lately it seems they are intent in just plummeting this thing into the ground. An unlikeable cast, terrible writing with PC inspired storylines has made this once great show a dumpster fire. If DW were to be announced canceled tomorrow I and other fans would be content with that.
