This biography delves into the Beatles history perhaps more than any that came before it. The family histories of all four members is explored, as well as those of Brian Epstein, Stu Sutcliffe and Pete Best. The prose is entertaining and reads almost like a novel, which may turn some readers off. Unfortunately, the book is littered with factual errors that diehard Beatles fans will notice. It’s a fun read and a good starting point for casual/new fans of the band, but look elsewhere for a more accurate and academic approach to The Beatles’ story.
