Johnny Blade

I think the film would have done better standing on its own feet rather than Kubrick’s shoulders. I thought Abra would have been better off being Danny’s apprentice Learning not to be a victim as well as Danny shedding his grease to shine like he used to. Would have given Danny better character development as a hero overcoming alcoholism and evil. He seemed more like the sacrificial side show. That doesn’t work for me while the last half hour+ of the movie takes place at the site of his trauma. I hate to say it but even Steven King, like Hollywood, has run out of ideas.
