I prefer part 2. Part 1 has a reoccurring theme until the end where it abruptly stops.
I also think it went a little too fast. I know other animes other than Sailor Moon Crystal has that, but it's kind of hard to follow first time watching it. I think the run time could've been a little shorter, Like the old ones back in the 90's.
I'm not saying it's these are terrible movies, but it's just a little behind mediocre in my opinion.
