The music. The music. To call it a dirge would be giving it outrageous high praise. I was nearly crying in sympathy for all concerned in the making of this movie. It single handedly destroyed an otherwise good movie. The monotone sound of essentially a single note just crushed all dramatic dynamics. Note to musical director/composer - no music while actors are whispering. You can't hear them. Der! Once it changed pace about 2/3 the way through, the movie started to pick up - but it was too late. Was the director a frustrated musician? How could you think this kind of sound track would support this kind of action thriller? And, generally, the music was louder than the dialogue. What a crying shame. Otherwise a great movie with all actors giving solid performances. The SFX were top notch too. OK, I'm not an ex-submariner or marine, but this is entainment remember. You do what you gotta do to reflect the good that all men are capable of. For what it's worth, I enjoyed it.
