*NO SPOILERS* I am a die-hard fan of Zombie movies and series. I haven't played the game before, but I must say I like the reason portrayed on how the zombie situation here could be a reality (hence 1 star). After the first intro section showing the past, I literally fell asleep as they were trying so hard to build background sketches for the characters, and I was there - expecting the same dynamics as the beginning .... I felt like I was watching a bad version of the walking dead - just longer and boring comparatively. At some point, I wanted to shout "yo, where them zombies at?" The cast is ok, I didn't feel much connection with Ellie, but maybe in a few episodes, it would get better. There are a lot of cliche moments, not many twists or turns so far, boring conversations, unnecessary scenes and long unappealing silences (like not those silences that make our heart throb faster, I'm talking about silences that get you to sleep faster). Overall I am very disappointed with the first episode as it doesn't even have 5% of the dynamic nature shown in the trailer. Sadness :(
