Wow. How did I not hear about this movie when it came out? If I could give it 6 stars I would. A powerful message and performance by Denzel Washington. Does he ever make a bad movie? And solid supporting acting to back him up. Great script and played out to the fullest. The ending encapsulated the whole thrust of the movie superbly.

Maybe this was good 40 years ago but it doesn't hold up today. I'll bet Danny Glover and Kevin Kline wish they would have passed on this one, and Kevin Costner didn't fit in either. It had a few moments but the script was pretty weak. Brian Dennehy was solid as usual, and Scott Glenn was the only one that came across as a real cowboy. Maybe your kids might like it.

I kept waiting for this movie to get better. It never did. From the simple dialog to the on again off again accent of Viggo and a meandering storyline. A waste of some nice acting by the rest of the cast. And did we really need to get a lesson on STDs? Looking at these other comments made me think I saw a different movie. A real snooze fest.sorry

Why in the world did De Niro and Travolta agree to do this terrible movie? Travolta sounds like Schwarzenegger all the way through. Some may say he tried, but it was out of his wheelhouse. I have nothing good to say about this movie. A sorry spectical.

The movie started out slowly and the humor didn't mix well with the drama. The storyline was well intended and the characters were well played especially the boy, but it just didn't work for me. The last ten minutes gave it an extra star for me. And the line 'you got tackled dad, give me the ball' brought tears to my eyes. Overall, some will like it, some won't

Loved this movie. Great action. Solid acting throughout and an interesting storyline. Excellent special effects and some nimble camera work. Plays wonderfully on the big screen with some nice sound effects and is still worth watching on the small screen. My only complaint was with the mouse in the liquid. But it did serve a purpose.

This was a great movie from beginning to end. Absolutely riveting with superb acting by Edward Norton and a top notch supporting cast. Very well written and a terrific storyline with seemless flashbacks to enhance the pace of the movie. Not for the faint of heart but well worth your attention. And the verse at the very end was the perfect closure.

Not a bad movie. not a great movie either. The talents of Kirk Douglas and Henry Fonda were kind of wasted On a relatively week script. A lot of holes in the story line, But it still manages to be entertaining.

I can't say much good about this movie. Slow paced, droll storyline and bad acting. I don't know what was worse, Gregory Pecks' on again off again scotch accent or Ester's off and on stuttering. Made me giggle. And the Indians take a big hit by making them look like clowns. Don't waste your time.
