The well-done animation and art are the high points. The story/plot absolutely goes nowhere. 24 minute shows come and go, and the main character does nothing but holler and scream about wanting to eat tasty gyozas, feeling hungry, and wishing he could eat. Which he does all the time, multiple times in each episode. They have made the main character as simplistic as a 7 year old boy who yells about nothing in every scene. "Hey, who's laughing at my feet?!!!!??" Loud mindless expressions like this all the time, and you say to yourself, why is this rated t.v. "MA".? Writers, try harder. The money to get the best animation artistry possible, and a show premised on sorcery, then forgetting to put together a plot of any kind. You watch hoping for more than gruesome fighting scenes and other ghastly images of violent gore, but there's nothing. Nothing . A big let down if you hoped for anything to lock you into a storyline.

Season 3 has nothing going on. It starts off promising. There will be 2 houses who believe they are gifted entitled adopted Super Kids! Then it just goes nowhere. It has Luther wearing an over-sized muscle suit that looks ridiculous constantly acting excited when he is offered food....Sigh. 2 tired never-ending love stories that won't go away or stop. And nothing makes sense right through til the end.

Yuki, the main character whines, complains, and frets so constantly in every second throughout each episode like the most afraid, scared, gutless person in any anime or REAL show I have ever seen. Plot has SO many possibilities to it too. Kept watching hoping and wanting him to Man-up and stop acting like the most fearful 6 year old EVER....but he whined out loud and to himself non-stop!! Couldn't get past episode 16. Had to quit. So awful.

I'm telling you, this is the Star Trek for your grandparents. It is like watching C-Span. Tons of dialog and never-ending conversations, and only when you're down to 10-12 minutes left in the show, there is some bit of action. All is relative right, so if none of us had gotten accustomed to the action from Kirk and Spock, it would probably be fun to watch a city commission meeting broadcast from a star ship flight deck. But since we know how much excitement space travel with the right crew can be, watching this series is painful. Every character is serious.

Whoa! Talk about an annoying main character. Kanecki is 19 yrs old, and seems to NEVER come to terms with the fact that he is a ghoul who MUST eat human flesh to live. Episode, after episode of a whiney baby speaking in the tone of a high pitched soprano is EVERYTHING about anime that makes anyone grow tired and aggravated. You walk away feeling like the writers should all be fired and people who don't want a toddler simpleton for a lead hero protagonist to be featured, HIRED immediately!!

Watched first 3 seasons, and liked it a lot. But timing is everything, right? Present day, we are watching a very unhappy White man from the early 1970s complain about EVERYTHING. He constantly puts his wife down as a person and as a woman, his kids, his family, and lacks all ability to see that his own life is the definition of heaven in comparison to all the Black people around him who were facing hard times. Fast forward to today, and nothing feels different about America, and then this show suddenly doesn't seem that funny at all.

It starts like Asian Jesus is getting ready to do his Samurai Champloo thang!! He is the actual Prince of Heaven!! He's humble, brave, fierce, and Never-scared!! A few episodes into it, the storyline stops in mid-air; a 100% halt! And the series turns into "Asian Jesus is slowly falling in love with Frank". Long stares, hand-face touching, and tender moments that last forever. Kind of felt like bait and switch. Like going to the movies to see an intense suspense thriller that morphs into Shrek. Story totally disappears, and you are left with Shrek.

Take any man, of any race; how funny is it when the main dad/husband curses, uses profanity, and finds every way to degrade his wife/family throughout the ENTIRE show. A never-ending tirade of whining, complaining, and blaming his wife, and white people about his life as a successful Black television and film writer producer who is enjoying life in the circle of the world's richest 15%. If you think watching an uber-rich black man say and do the meanest things in his soprano pitched voice is funny, this show is for you.

A hard, "No".They have the stylized religious wardrobe. Tons of choreographed hand-to-hand combat scenes. A concept that touches upon religious myths, demons, mysticism, and relics, but they spend almost no budget on CGI, or special effects on what could be incredible stuff in the right hands. 10 episodes could be done in 3. And for why it is SO painful: 1. You are always being told that time is of the essence, hurry, hurry, time's almost out! Only to be followed with time consuming uninteresting long interpersonal scenes of dialog that contradict any supposed rush! 2. The lead is an annoying, rude, Hannah Montana meets Ryan Reynolds....notso good. Not the actor personally, I'm sure, but this unlikable tiresome character. Don't waste your time.

Let's say this movie has 10 scenes in it, the best 2 scenes happen in the first 25 minutes. The next 2 hours after that is 8 HORRIBLY Bad scenes. It fails on so many movie levels, you just wish that in life, someone would just give you 3 million dollars to waste on anything self-indulgent. My prayer for the world, "May we all meet a rich benefactor who gives us 3 million dollars to blow on anything, no questions asked".
