This is certainly one " unusual" movie. The premise is certainly different. It is one of the darkest of movies; the word " meloncholy" coming to mind. It didn't take long to realize there would be no happy ending either. Quite sispenseful and, as always, Keaton is very good. I never saw the sequel as I feel it would be a let down. Some movies shouldn't have a sequel and I feel this is one of those. Definitely worth a watch.

Personally, I love this movie the best out of the 3 featuring Anthony Hopkins. By the time the fish market scene plays, I was quite comfortable with Julianne Moore as Agent Starling. Considering it was ten years after "Silence of the Lambs", she was believable. I have watched this movie many, many times. I think it's because of the atmosphere that it plays out in. The substory featuring the detective Pazzi is probably my favorite part. The scenes in Florence Italy, truly added to the story. Despite many unspoken warnings, the detective wasn't very smart. The stellar cast ( Ray Liotta and Gary Oldman) were excellent in their roles as well. I truly love this story.

This is one of my very favorite all- time lol.. since junior high school. As of 2020, it is still in my top ten. Sir Laurence Olivier is absolutely brilliant portraying Ezra Lieberman, an aging ( and aching) nazi hunter who is dubious of the information he receives until he hears the informant's ( a young Steve Guttenberg ) death during a phonecall. When he starts investigating what he thought was preposterous, the thrills begin. Olivier makes you feel what he feels. He is not without humor however, making his character all the more endearing. Gregory Peck is truly haunting as Joseph Mengele. The first movie I have seen Peck play the villain. The final scenes are riveting. The pace slows a bit in regards to the explanation of cloning but picks right back up rather quickly. The supporting cast ( Anne Meara, Uta Hagen, and many others) round out this story quite well. It's chilling to say the least and the story idea itself, is thought- provoking and, given that it's now 2020, it seems almost plausible now. This only adds to what is one of the best stories I have ever seen. A solid 5 out of 5 stars. A must-see.

I really liked T 3, so it's hard to let it go and make "Dark Fate" the natural 3rd installment, BUT given that I never cared for the rather "weak" portrayal of John Connor in T3, perhaps it may not be as hard to do. Dark Fate IS rather good, though I feel the jumbo jets sequence was a bit much. I liked all the characters in this installment with a special nod to Gabriel Luna as the new terminator. I felt he was particularly effective. The story itself gets a solid 8 out of 10 to me.

I only watched The Grudge once. While it's the same director and location, it loses in the translation. Juon, however , is truly disturbing and haunting....never get tired of watching it. Far more atmospheric than its English counterpart, it never fails to send shivers down my back! The part of the story involving the former detective is truly chilling and took me a few " watches" to fully understand it. That, to me, makes for a greatovie. I highly recommend this to any true horror fan.

This is one of the most unusual movies I have ever seen. It is unsettling, to say the least. Being an avid fan of good horror, this movie came as a pleasant surprise for me. The twists and turns it takes left me satisfied. A movie that you will want to watch more than once. Bill Paxton scored large in his directorial debut. Powers Boothe ( always a favorite for me ), is excellent as the suspicious detective. While Matthew McConaughey isn't one of my favorites, he too, is quite good as the son narrating the story to the detective. In fact, the supporting cast is also quite effective. With its twists and turns, it keeps you transfixed right up to the end. I highly recommend this movie. If only we could have had Mr. Paxton around longer!

This is such a long time ago, my memory fails a bit BUT what I remember the most was Brad Davis' performance. He was very cruel and someone you would want to avoid if you lived in his "town"!! A shame that this incredible actor wasn't around longer. His characters demise was memorable and I remember thinking " finally", someone caught the serial killer but at the same time, glad this " chief" had what was coming to him. The performances by Wayne Rogers and Keith Carradine were noteworthy as well.

An unusual horror movie to say the least! Quite atmospheric and dark. The subject matter rather disturbing. Like driving by a car accident, you find yourself transfixed, anticipating what's to come next and how it concludes, with a slightly twisted ending. While not my favorite Clive Barker movie, it certainly worth watching. Seeing Brooke Shields was a pleasant surprise and in a good role. The character of Jurvis provided a little comic relief when needed too. Highly recommend this.

The story was incredibly exciting. Ron Howard puts you in the capsule with the crew; you get a true sense of how " harrowing" , it must have been. The pace is juxtaposed between anxious , quiet moments ( Marilyn Lovell, as an example ), to the moments where the crew is losing power and oxygen. The cast is stellar, to say the very least. Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, Ed Harris and Gary Sinise all turn in Academy award winning performances. I believe Ed Harris did win an Oscar, as did Kathleen Quinlan for her excellent performance as Marilyn Lovell. My heart truly went out to her in this movie--- she's that good. My all-time favorite 1990s movie, bar none. Highly, highly recommended.
