Matt Boomhower

First off, I have always been a big Kevin Costner fan so I went into this with high expectations. It took the first two hours for me to really grasp where this movie/series was going. The sweeping vistas are beautiful and the cinematography is awesome. The issue I have is that the story is just too slow to develop. Characters are also hard to connect with. Costner shows up about halfway through. This should have been a tv mini series. I will watch the other movies as they are released just because I like to finish things. Still a Costner fan but I think he will lose his butt on this investment. Most people leaving the theatre were calling it “confusing” and hard to follow, including my Mrs.
