The filmography and soundtrack were good. The plot has too many empty holes and leaves you with more questions than answers. Not super compelling. Everyone talks quietly, I had to watch this with my volume at 100 on my laptop. You keep waiting for there to be explanations for everything: - Why did the dad take the son, and leave the mom in the first place? - Why did the dad let a cult form around his son? - What made them go on the run? - How did the boy get those powers if both of his parents were just human? - What is he? - Why were those two guys after him at that motel? - Why did he have to go someplace specific at a specific time for those people to come get him? - What now? It just kind of ends and you're like? What was this whole thing all about. - What exactly are his powers? It seems like he can do a lot of stuff, but can't 100% control it.
