This movie is so underrated. I don't know if it should be classified into the genre of mythology or horror. The movie seems so realistic ; No glamourous characters, no item numbers, but a story that revolves around a Brahmin family in a mystical village. The tremendous music, set design & the cinematography is brilliant! The concept, atmosphere, story telling, etc has been conveyed so well. The plot will keep you totally engaged and at the edge of the seat from the very beginning till the end. The movie carries an amazing moral about what greed/lust will lead to, with an unpredictable yet a sensible climax. If you're wanting to watch a well-scripted mysterious thriller, you'd want to give Tumbbad a shot.
