A very intelligent movie and India's major achievement in making real horror movies. Although according to me this movie is more psychological than horror. Great visuals and cinematography and direction, considering it's small budget graphics are better than expected to top it all the plot is very gripping and takes no time in getting the audience's interest piqued. The actors have done a great job. The makeover given to the monters is up to the mark. Over all tumbaad in underrated and very interesting and its really a treat.
Film focuses on a man drunk in greed and passing his genes to his son and their ultimate lust for gold that doesn't even lose to their fear of death. The portrayal of village tumbaad is breathtaking, music is cringing and the imagination of the writers is very pretty well displayed. Tumbaad is more than just a horror movie due to its message to the viewers and that is as inthe very beginning of the movie its written "earth has enough for a man's need but not for a man's greed"
