Not as over the moon as some of these other reviewers seem to be. It was ok. It is overall somewhat poignant. The final scene with Rogers is absolutely bittersweet. As good a farewell as you’re going to get. My problem is with the diminished role of captain marvel. In the post credits if Infinity War we were led to believe that the introduction of Carol Danvers into the fray was going to shift the paradigm. But no such thing happens. She was barely in the movie. As the strongest Avenger she should have been the one to wield the gauntlet. Then what ultimately happened could have been avoided. I’m not going to spoil that bit of remorse for all of those who love the MCU. I just hope that Star Wars is better.
