Moody, tense, engaging, unputdownable, the low key approach and stark BnW cinematography sets the bleak tone. Those people who didn't understand the ending, which to me was subtle but obvious, need to watch more films that need thought and not stick to loud light and colour displays with every point explained in visual monosyllables. Either that or go back to your screen adapted graphic novels. A film to challenge and stir the brain cells - those with only one or two should go and watch Barbie or Fast and Furious 23 or whichever its up to. When Aussies get it right, they do it better than Hollywood. 12/10.
