I’ve so been looking forward to this movie. This is one of my favorite franchises. I’m glad I missed it by 1 day in the theatre, I would have been so unhappy. I’ve seen all the others at the theatre and I was upset, Until I actually watched it streaming. I love the actors as always of course as does everyone else as shown by the box office numbers, we all wanted another installment to this series. Well that all being said….. So disappointed!!! This was so ho hum and boring. Not “scary” at all, the couple “jump scares” were Uber predictable and not that good. Flashbacks were cool and seeing all of them again was cool, but OMG so disappointing, after waiting this long. Somehow the movie seem to drag on in a lot of parts and at the same time like it was rushed and didn't really give you any real insights like the other installments did. Almost like the feelings you felt and developed for the characters and the movies as you watched the previous movies was no longer there. This movie lacked the feelings and responses that came from all the previous installations. Again NOT scary at all. Just sad this was the weakest chapter of all of them. I won’t be watching this one all the time like I do the other chapters. ☹️ Maybe next time.
