This show is the definition of a good concept with terrible execution. It has a lot of problems so where do I start: 1. Characters- A lot of the characters are flat. Dean is fine, Dakota is fine, Naomi is alright. Everyone else is either way underdeveloped or just unpleasant to watch. The side characters have cringey acting. 2. Pace- This show moves so slowly. Episode 3 has a 30-minute backstory hiatus full of unnecessary details. I scrolled on my phone to get through the slog. 3. Subplots- None of them were that great and only dragged the show out.

1. The Show meanders a bit in the beginning, with the plot seeming loose and all over. Certain storylines are wrapped up early or disappear for entire episodes. 2. The main female character is very annoying. She treats the MC like garbage for a while even though he is honest and decent to her. She romanticizes his trauma instead of respecting and understanding him. She jumps to conclusions or acts erratic for no apparent reason. 3. The dynamic between the MC and the antagonists is brilliant. There are 2 "antagonists" who both despise the MC in the best way. 4. The first 10 episodes are solid and could have probably ended there. The back 6 are wild and rambunctious and off-the-rails crazy at times in comparison to the relatively tame first part.

If you can look past the ridiculousness of the situation, it is quite good. Lady John Wick is trained by a mob boss to kill a police captain, only this John Wick is beaten with kicks that could knock someone out, stabbed in the ankle, knee, gut, and leg, and is emotionally scarred from watching a friend die, and still gets out of there no harm. While the idea and acting is there, the premise that a mob boss would take in a dangerous liability and make her dangerous is so frustrating. He had no good reason to do that.

Was this written by AI... SPOILERS 1. Humans Billions of years ago built this thing, which is impossible since humans could not have existed billions of years ago because of evolution. 2. Type II Intergalactic Civilization did not understand how to use an EMP. 3. No one at that NASA facility noticed the tidal wave until it was right there. 4. Using a dusty rocket in a museum and getting it ready to fly in 24 hrs. is quite literally impossible. 5. If humans conquered the Galaxy, how did they all get killed by an AI. 6. If there was a white dwarf in the moon, the Earth would be torn to shreds by now. 7. How are the humans able to be so close to the white dwarf, even in the facility? The brightness alone would kill them. And many many more plot holes.

This movie does take some time to get its feet off the ground, but when it does, it flies. The post-9/11 racism is present, but not hindering, and if it can be overlooked, the film has a wonderful villain. Jennifer Connoly kills it in the role. The movie has a slow burn feel as tensions rise and the character reflections as they begin to lose themselves shows how the need for something might just be ones undoing.

Spoilers for "The Glory" and "Death Note" below/ I have never met a show that has made me more conflicted than "The Glory". On the one hand, it is well shot, the dialogue is great, the costume designer needs a raise, and the acting is incredible. The story though is where I separate the fun from the good. This show makes one fatal flaw that just ruined it so much for me- it made the unsympathetic villains the underdogs. In a show such as this, a show centered on revenge, the antagonists should be smart, calculating, and well-informed. Instead, the antagonists here are incredibly stupid and simply caricatures used to develop the protagonist- a static character. Never in this show, once, did I feel that Moon was in any sort of danger or would not win in the end, and that made the show work against itself. It also made the antagonists the underdogs because Moon was just so much more strategic, and as a sucker for underdogs, I had to remind myself that I cannot root for crazy evil psychopaths just because they're the underdogs. And that just made me hate the show even more. Sure, while the hijinks are fun and exciting, the predictability of the show and the lack of obstacles for the protagonist make me hate the characters with a passion. I am glad it did not repeat cliches about vengeance being destructive, even if it is, and just let a full revenge story play out; but the fact that the protagonist always had the advantage made it horrible. Death Note is great because Light and L are both equally intelligent and both win some and lose some in their battle, and both are incredibly smart and both trade upper hands throughout the show until Light eventually kills him (who is then later killed by his predecessors). Could you imagine if Light or L only one of them was smart and the other was a crazy stupid moron; it would be unwatchable. And that is where the glory went wrong. It is a fun watch, sure, but not a good one.

Stop reading and start watching this show. It is a brilliant masterpiece with incredibly complex parts and does not hold your hand, and yet it moves at a pace where you can still know most of what is happening. The performances are amazing, specifically the certain characters I cannot name for season 3, but those who've watched it must applaud the acting. Jonas is one of the most likable protagonists in a while, and the story just works for him.

While the entire show does a phenomenal job of character development, dialogue, and pacing, the first few seasons of this show are truly the best on television. Seasons 7-10 do fall off a little, but it does not matter because Spader and the writers are still very good at what they do. James Spader's Raymond Reddington is perhaps one of my favorite villains all-time, and his deep insightful quotes and monologues as well as his acting are up there with some of the best actors of our time.
