Most people would disagree with me! BUT, in my opinion, this is his BEST LP of all time. Never has ANYONE in history dedicated and sang the whole LP to the love of his life. Not only that , it covers five musical genres, in such a way, you don’t even realize it. You can dance to funk, slow drag, sing along, or just listen from a single LP, which normally takes several artists and several LPs! The music arrangement is awesome too. Piano, lead guitar, drums, bongos, a triangle, even a wood chuck, blending in perfect harmony, with Marvin singing vocals straight from his soul. If I had to find a single complaint, it would be sound quality! That’s when it helps to have a serious sound system. Marvin Gaye is one who’s definitely gone too soon. As you well know, no one tried to remake his songs. That would only make people realize just how great of a music genius he was!
