While the show is called Halo and pulls it lore and world from the video game series of the same name it clearly has tried to go in it's own direction, with mixed results. In short, the show is far from genre defining though no where near as bad as some fans of the games would have you believe. With this being a new timeline for the story to follow, and as a fan of the games I'm interested to see what comes next from this new take, I'm just worried it will fail to meet the audiences expectations.
