I’d say I wish they’d stop ruining this series, but it’s already too late. And they’re paying for reviews, clearly. There are so many copy/pasted 5 start reviews; it’s a bit sickening to be honest. It must be pretty important to recoup the investment in this project. This could have been the next GoT or LoTR. And before anyone shakes their head and says it’s not even close to either, you’re right, it’s not. It’s an entirely different world and if done justice, would take you there the same as the aforementioned series did. It’s watchable, but it’s so inaccurate and wildly deviates from the book series in my opinion. My biggest complaint is that in the books, events unfold and you suss out facts with the characters. In the series, it’s like they start talking about things with no context, explain what’s going to happen, and then you watch it happen. It makes it feel forced and comes across weird to me. I’d advise not to read or listen to the books until the Amazon series is over. Sometimes I forget it’s supposed to be WoT, and I miss the character development that’s so prevalent in the books.
