If this had been separated from the world of chucky and been its own story might have had some chance. But as a movie with a reimagined chucky it falls flat. The story wasn't half bad. A little short on my opinion with obvious so obvious plot holes and twists you see coming. And not just because you've seen them before but because they are so obvious it's not even funny. Like I said some other killer doll movie it would be ok. Not the best but ok. As a remake of chucky. It fails so hard. And I was hopeful about it too waiting for over a year since the first break of it was mentioned. Disappointed doesn't even sum it up.
