It’s… fine. It shamelessly Frankensteins Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon/ Story of Seasons together, which normally wouldn’t bother me too much- the “same game different font” approach sometimes delivers gems like Stardew Valley. Unfortunately, this misses the mark. So far the only elements that differentiate it- mainly the custom furniture really- are barely usable because the UX is just atrocious. I’ll give it a bit more time, but I expect I’ll be fed up with it in a couple days. Unless you purchase it at a heavy discount like I did it’s a waste of money. If you’re considering Hokko Life because you enjoyed Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, I recommend you try any of these first!
