With nods to Tarkovsky and a slew of staggering performances of grief, hope and love this series is a slow mysterious work of art. The cinematography and special effects are interwoven seamlessly. What you have is a meditation on mourning and survival that does honour to the landscape and the people. Very timely for our global community.
