What an absolutely amazing game! I've come from Demons Souls, which I found impossibly hard, this is difficult, but, perseverance is key as I've found. I struggled with the first biome boss for hours and hours, until I learnt more about all the weapons, upgrades, health upgrades and parasites. It is a brutal learning curve, but if you stick with it, you get some lucky runs where you pick up all the right weapons, defence and health consumables and this allows you to progress, whilst still a struggle, but fair and massively rewarding when you make it through that biome and beat the boss! This isn't a game where you can just switch on and play for 30 minutes, you need 2-3+ hours at a time to progress further. I've been playing for 3 days now and am now on the third biome. I kind of like that you can't save progress, it makes it all the more rewarding when you have a great run. Of course, you can put your PS5 in 'Rest Mode' to come back to the game later, which I have been utilising. The graphics are absolutely amazing, the sound, especially through the Pulse 3D headset is stunning and the haptic feedback from the Dual Sense controller is the best I've experienced yet. This is THE best title out on the PS5 so far and with it being PS exclusive too, it sets a benchmark for next gen gaming! Well done Housemarque!! A+++
