Even though michael keaton absolutely rocks the beetlejuice role, it feels like they didn't even give him enough material to work with. A mediocre sequel that doesn't sit in the same league as the original and was a jumble of rushed scenes and familiar laughs. I would love to have seen much more of keaton , who doesn't put a foot wrong, but the story is garbage and hurried, too many characters who bare no real impact on the story line and didn't need to be there. Disappointed and was expecting much much more. But again michael keaton is the only reason to watch this movie.....better yet just watch the original again

Watched this film recently. It is enjoyable for the most part and builds tension and intrigue for the first 2/3's of the movie. Washington is always good, Malik is mediocre at best and always has that Freddie Mercury pout but Jared Leto plays a truly haunting character very well indeed. The issue is with all the great story and character building, you are expecting a big end to a big , emotional story. However the film literally fizzles away in last half hour and in my opinion was a let down. Feels like it could have gone in so many directions but chose the least thrilling and as such spoilt an intriguing tale
