Thoroughly enjoyable and at times almost all too relatable. Excellent acting from all and especially from Greta Scacchi. Don't be put off by some of the pompously negative reviews around. We attended a packed cinema and the whole audience laughed and sometimes cried. Have been thinking about it ever since and that for me makes it an excellent movie. The beautiful scenery is just a bonus.

overly arty at times with an overdose of mood music and gazing thoughtfully into the distance yet there I was getting choked up about it so something must have worked. First half by far the best and the 20 year jump was annoying. The relationship with the older adopted brother was given scrappy attention and treated so harshly that we didn't care. Nicole was also bland as the mother so again we didn't care about her. About a 6 out of 10 for me.
