What can I say, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. First off, it was refreshing in that it was clean, with a few amusing parts, and not overly religious and preachy. The main characters were eye candy and gorgeous together and visually appealing. Their chemistry, flirting, and nonverbal language made watching the beginning of their budding romance enjoyable.
Of course, the movie was not perfect. First of all, some scenes and dialogue were a bit contrived (due to space I am not going to go into details). A 10-year lapse in time from when they were in college to the present seemed rather fortuitous that both would be single AND interested in one another. Why did he not get her number at the wedding party? Why leave it to chance AND the way how they got together was through a dating app. WHAT A COINCIDENCE. This could have been written a bit more realistically. Overall a sweet fantasy movie. I've watched it a few times already because the characters are so likable. I do like seeing the three of them together (Mark, Corina, and Corina's hair). It would be nice for a second movie to be made to see the next chapter of Mark and Corina's life together. Yvette Nicole Brown, please write a follow-up script, I need a new fix. Thanks for a little escapism.
