If you've read the book series, you'll be very disappointed. WHY can't movie or TV producers at least recreate the characters and their circumstances true to the books from which they pilfer. Yes, the acting is good, but I understand why it folded after three seasons. First, except for personally poaching a salmon now and then, Hamish was an honest copper. His dogs and Wild Cat were also very significant characters. Quite disappointing on a number of levels.

In 1963, the ranking Opthalmologist in the US Army told my Mother that is contact lenses didn't stop the regression of my vision, I would be legally blind by age 21. I didn't see this movie until 2024, aged 75. This movie resonates with me. The acting is excellent. The story is compelling. The plot is believable, in that a brilliant medical doctor is experimenting on himself...which wouldn't be ethical, but I understand it. This is a very worthwhile movie and very well done. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the cheesy, outer space music.

I'm a Great Grandmother, and I love this movie. All of the Guardians are such well drawn characters, with very human traits. Love the great songs, which resonate to my twenties. This is, at it's core, a "Good vs Evil" story with lots of fireworks and technology. Action, comedy, romance, it's all here. And then, there's Groot.

My favorite scene is when Cary Grant makes a flippant remark about "Archie Leach", which is his birth name. Totally madcap.

An all time GREAT movie. Fantastic cast at the top of their game. The musical score is superb. Costumes are perfect for the 1930s period in which this is set. One of my favorite movies of all time.

Beautiful scenery, including Arnold. Classic revenge, good vs evil movie with wonderful musical score. Such a classic, cheese and all.

I found the story compelling, charming and easy to empathize with. The acting was superb. My next-best friend and I saw it together, in a theatre and really enjoyed it. However, I can't relate to it personally, because my mother was always my best friend, and since she passed away, my husband is. However, my next-best friend is my true YaYa sister. ❤️

My husband and I didn't even remember Jum Carrey was in this until we started watching it again. I bought it decades ago, because I adore Lauren Hutton and Cleavon Little and their banter. Totally charming.

One of my favorite movies. Mel and Goldie have great onscreen chemistry. The plot is convoluted and funny and full of action. David Carradine plays a relentless bad guy. Love the sound track. It introduced me to Aaron Neville and his wonderful vocals. Great movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. MM plays a charming if slightly sleazy attorney with a rich, good looking client. The acting is top notch, plot is fast paced, with ups and downs and twists. I feel that I need to read the follow on books in this series. Excellent movie.
