We've only watched two episodes so far, so it's probably not fair to rate it so quickly. I give the premise (and its importance) a solid 9-10. Its execution, however, has varied. It tries too hard a lot, and that leads to some pretty ridiculous scenes and concepts, e.g., it's really unclear what the cognitive parameters are for the talking whale in Episode Two; and, unfortunately, it comes across as silly more often than not. We're not so sure we'll be watching more-we're thinking about it.

I'm going to do something I've never done: Give a review of a movie before I'm even done watching it in its entirety. In fact, I've only watched 40 minutes of it so far (I'm pacing myself, LOL); but, it already feels completely different on every level aforementioned in many of these reviews: pacing, character development, cinematography, music, visual effects, storyline, etc etc. As I said to my super-hero-movie-loving girlfriend earlier today, Snyder must have been PISSED at what they did to his film! I thought the 2017 release was "okay," I didn't think it was "terrible" per se, but this version is clearly the film that was meant to be made-a film that truly encompasses Snyder's vision and the arc of these characters and story. And, I'm only 40 minutes into it!!!

Great cast and performances; important ideas. Just see it.
