Felt like Mary Poppins by numbers. In trying to create something new and exciting they've actually created something that ticks all the boxes songs, animation, sequences etc but lacks the warmth and charm of the original. This applies even more so to Mary Poppins herself. While there's nothing wrong with Blunts performance the character lacked the warmth and kindness of the original Mary. So came across a little cold in my opinion. In summary a passable sequel although there were a number of similarities with the original story. Songs were largely forgettable and the story dragged in places.
