Being a fan of the dragon age series I was really looking forward to this is game. You can imagine my disappointment after playing for 9 hours and realizing how bad this is. It feels Bioware have gone completely backwards from inquisition. It's like they have forgotten what an RPG is. Regardless of what class you play you taunt every enemy, which defeats the object of creating a tank, dps, or healer. The game lacks proper adventure with the challenges are built for children or the stupid. Example, crows side mission, kill a champion which just happens to be on the opposite roof top from where you accept the mission. Lazy games creation. The dialogue options are awful with no real option to be evil. The combat and customization is poor. I feel like who ever play tested this and thought it was good is an absolute idiot. This game makes mass effect Andromeda seem amazing, and I was one of the few who enjoyed it. It's feels hard to spend time completing missions without being bored due to the lack of imagination. I will most likely complete eventually one play through, but won't be doing multiple playthroughs like I have done in previous games. If Bioware offered me a full refund, I would accept and just YouTube the story. Its such a shame to see this game like this and I have concerns on the next mass effect game. I don't want to hear the excuses from the developers saying to crap we got from the witcher series of, this is our adaptation, we are trying to branch at a wider audience. What utter rubbish!!! What they should have done is due to the return of the dread wolf, a massive civil war across thedas erupts, with the new protagonist having to unite passed enemies together against solas. Finally bringing together the templars and mages for instance as their issues never end in inquisition. The rebuilding of the grey wardens and they could have brought back Alister who finally hears the calling to the deep roads. But rather choosing that way to die, leads a final battle against the elven gods into the veil. I miss customizing the fortress and engagement with npcs that actually have proper dialogue options than stand there as you run passed in a poor assassin creed style. I really would not recommend this game. Go back and play inquisition or the mass effect games.
