I did not like the film at all. It does not connect with the present. The customs and situations shown in the film might have existed in Kerala some 30-40 years ago, but not anymore. I feel, in an attempt to spread the issue of women inequality, the makers have unnecessarily depicted the Sabarimala (non)issue and menstrual customs of yore, which is totally unjustifiable.
Because of this exaggerated depiction of male chauvinism, the film will undoubtedly project Kerala, a forward State, very badly in the eyes of viewers of other Indian States. It will also demean the image of India as a whole before the international viewers.
