I'm a horror movie reviewer, and I found Halloween Kills to be sorely lacking in the storyline department. This is mostly a gore fest with Myers killing every minority group he could who had suddenly moved to Haddonfield. Where as the original relied on suspense and Tiny bit of blood, this was the opposite. Some of the characters had some depth, but not many, although Strodes daughter stole the show. The stupidity of nearly all the characters is shocking! This franchise should have ebbed with the fantastic h20. It's just basically murder after murder & STRODE 'S CHARACTER ridiculously blames herself for bringing Myers to the town. Why? Who knows, cos she's not even related to him in this reboot.with some tense moments but it's difficult to feel sorry for inane, stupid characters who deliberately put themselves in danger. It was nice to see Donald Pleasence, but the inclusion of Tommy Doyle and his gang was ridiculous. I don't find gore scary, just gross. Where Carpenter originally terroyou with suspense, this bores with over the top violence, and Curtis is rarely seen in it. Just en excuse to make more money from original fans.
