The show is completely overhyped and tries to be like fleabag, but is nowhere near there. It’s not really emotional because it doesn’t really get into deep feelings, but it’s not completely funny either. It’s peppered with real moments that could be mistaken for Fleabag-ishness. The other annoying trope is how they’ve made every scene entirely about the main character, while she seems to make mistakes and expect things despite not having spent enough time or the effort to actually be that integral in these areas. What’s worse is, that it’s the most basic new age principles are right and everyone else is wrong writing, with typecasting Jewish people as hypocritical (a scene where someone eats pork despite saying they’re against it) which is just poor and lazy writing. What’s sad is the reviews get you hooked on to show and you spend a fair few hours waiting to see what the hype is about all to get disappointed by increasingly blatant white-washed gullible writing. To put it simply, it’s just another basic rom-com with a bit of superiority by writers lacking respect for culture in any way.

I used to love this show until Christy started getting on my nerves. She claims to be honorable and have integrity but she’s the most horrible person on this show! She’s rude, despicable and her actions are entirely questionable. She’s a middle aged woman who still keeps blaming Bonnie for all her mistakes and makes her out to be a terrible person when Bonnie is the only one who seems to be turning over a new leaf. Christy is petty, spiteful and lacks morals! She just harps on about being a better person while not making any changes.
