Okay it's a classic feel good rom com. But the actors ar fun to watch and the scenery is stunning. A few surprise plot twists make it less predictable than you might fear. Is it a masterpiece, a soulful work that makes you rethink your lif choices? Well not exactly although it actually does have a few lessons about coveting thy girl friend's beau, and speaking up for what you want. A fun movie that has some great moments with a lovely perfectly cast, cast. Also Brigid--who is exceptional for this small role--is hilarious. You will see who I mean.

This was a fantastic movie. Cinematically gorgeous, an engaging story. Despite having no background as a rower, I was able to follow the story. I felt like I was on the boat! An achievement for all involved.

Spoiler alert. This movie is worth seeing for the escapism of watching actors like Pierce Brosnan and whoever played the rock star. Julianne Moore and her mom are also good but I had issues with Julianne's character. The fact I can't remember their character names should tell you something. I just cannot figure out why JM's character is so cold to brosnans character and I keep wanting to scream at his character to get out while the going is good. It's fun to see Ireland but I wish there was more of it. I also wish they had made brosnan Irish so we could hear him talk in an accent as he was born there. They never truly explain why Julianne Moore is so set against Brosnan or marriage .although PB character does a few things that are downright awful just explained as part of his job. The idea that they would live together but not act like a couple is ludicrous if you have ever been newly in love. And also they drink a dangerous amount with no consequences. l Either they have chemistry or they don't. And she is so annoying I don't see his attraction for her either. This movie needs about 15 more minutes of explanation background and dialog. And they need a best friend or too so that the main characters can respond to the questions in our head about the idiocy of them throwing away the opportunity over and over with no sense of how hurtful they are being or how clueless not to talk to find out the core reason for JM coldness--we never do find that out. Run Pierce run! People do not go from cold empathyless creatures to suddenly being up for true intimacy no matter how much you love them. Be her friend and find someone evolved enough to be a true lover for your mate. Been there done that.

This was a well done classic suspense tale, with unexpected twists and turns, great scenery, and a thought-provoking ethical challenge While I have seen the criticism that it may not have been a pivotal point in the lead up to the war, it was an slice of what must have happened time and time again.

Sorry but this was awful. No chemistry between stiller and messing or stiller and aniston.

Predictable. Trying to make characters fit a timeline to reach the holidate. Started out strong then tanked. Chesworth was fantastic and authentic. The male lead was good and wasted in this. It just wasn’t original. At all.

This show is absolutely fantastic. Sorry so vague but don’t want to give anything away.

Fabulous acting, characters with integrity trying to figure it out

This was a highly original story, well told, well acted. If you are a Beatles fan and need some laughs, a sweet story, wonder, and an escape from the current insanity of world politics, go forth, willfully suspend your disbelief, and watch this fun, unique movie. The performances are spot on, the fantasy is fun, and the songs are as always, epically good. I loved it, so did my husband. We spent the trip home talking about the plot, speculating about its meaning, and grateful that there was not a predictable ending.
