I went into seeing this movie with lot of inputs and opinions already made by people, film critics and generalised statements against the cast that the film won't hold water against the scam 92 web series. Well scam 92 undoubtedly had a brilliant story, cast and superb acting performances. However, I think it's unfair to compare the movie made over 2.5 hours with a web series spread over various episodes. The movie does take about 15-20 minutes in gripping the attention of audience, but once it does so, it flows smoothly building its own crescendo with some really power packed stupendous performance by its main protagonist Abhishek Bachchan. Illeana D Cruz looks convincing in her role and stands out too. The movie reminds you of the erstwhile powerful performances by Abhishek Bachchan in movies like Guru. The film could have however been given some better dialogues and background music to hype it up further. Watching the film, makes one intrigued about the real Mr. Harshad Mehta and his ways of making money. Was he a scamster?... it's for you to judge. Overall, excellent performance by Mr. Abhishek Bacchan and Illeana for essaying the story quite well. Must watch over the weekend!!!
