Where to start? Pretty shoddy writing that contradicts things that were said in previous episodes, jarring dialogue, flailing plot and storyline and random characters with ever-shifting morals and motivations. It's choc full of weird references that either seem out of place within the scene or a desperate grab for attention from the writers. Teens and kids are overly sexualised, gangs and organised crime are glamorised. Queer relationships are given little to no screen time in comparison to the straight ones, and when they are they often don't end happily, involve submission/ unhappiness from one of the people involved and topics of queer love, sexuality and expression are handled sloppily and disrespectfully. There's just so much wrong with this show, I honestly can't believe that a fifth season has been greenlit. Even the actors of the show acknowledge that it's stupid and that they're there for the paycheck. Seriously, don't bother with this show. The first season is bad enough and it only gets worse from there.
