Raquel Sarshalom-Delman

The first part of the book captivated me. The characters were so real that I felt their joy, sadness and hopelessness. As the story unfold, these beloved characters faded. They stopped growing, changing, and learning. The second half of the story was totally disconnected with new characters that did not add to the main plot, but diminished all that was built in the first part. I hope that the TV series based in this novel will be a better version of this book in terms of characters development, sequence of events that add to the main plot and tying all loose ends to bring the story to a coherent end.
