As a writer I was very disappointed. I agress this should have stayed a short story. I love adventure movies. I love family movies. This movie was boring. Really made no real sense. The actor did well with the material but the story was so boring. We have little red riding hood flashes, he have the good witch and wicked witch from wizard of oz, there are so many stories that were turned in to movies that this has tiny bits of but it really just isn't a good movie at all. Very pretty with the garden scene but very disappointed. I also didn't watch any trailers so I had no expectations. I did see one review that rater it 2/10 but I always ignore to watch for myself. This time I really should have learned from the reviewser I read. Stories really doesn't go far not enough of anything character building relation between characters. For example we never got to see why the parents weren't in a good place or why they sister seem distant in the beginning. If this was turned into a movie then what is next. My books sure is movie worthy this was no. Lastly super happy to see Carrie Fisher in another rokd before passing away wish is was a better movie though.
