I love Joaquin Phoenix and I love Ridley Scott as a director, however, this film was a complete disaster from the very moment Joaquin opened his mouth. Let me get this straight: the Russian characters had Russian accents, the English had English accents, and Napoleon had an.....AMERICAN accent!? Honestly, it seemed as though Joaquin wasn't even trying to become Napoleon, but rather just going through the motions because someone forced him to. *Zero stars would not recommend*

What utter nonsense. I couldn’t get past the fact that the female character wasn’t willing to cut off her hair to appear to be more male. That was a dealbreaker for me – nothing was believable after that.
